Eddy provides an option for persons in connected entities to login to their accounts with one set of login credentials. This is primarily used in the scenario of a parent to child company relationship. Persons may work in more than one of the connected entities at the same time and will need multiple profiles. In this case, you can transfer their personal worker record to additional entities if your account is set up with the this function.
Moving a Record Overview
Adding a Person
To add a person from an existing entity to a new entity, select the new entity where the person needs to be added from your dropdown menu in the top right corner.
Under the People tab, there will be an option to 'Add a Person' in the top right corner. This will then prompt you to add a person under the following types:
- Employee
- Contractor
- Worker from another company
The worker already exists in another entity within your organization, so you will select the last option, 'Worker from another company'. A pop up will appear showing the workers available to be transferred, and the original entity where their profile is active.
Onboarding a person
Once the person has been selected, you will be able to review their personal details. This information is gathered from the original entity where their profile is active. If an employee makes a change to their personal information in one entity, it will be transferred to all entities where a profile is stored.
Select an employment type, Employee or Contractor, for the new entity.
Enter in their job details for the new entity.
You can continue onboarding the person in the new entity by adding them to any necessary policies, assigning new documents, and monitoring their onboarding progress. New documents are recommended as it is a separate entity. Documents do not transfer across entities. The user will now be able to view the dropdown menu in the top right corner to toggle between their accounts.
